Recreation Department provides a diversified year-round recreation program consisting of a variety of activities for the citizens of Harlingen. Special events are another important aspect of our department, hosting Flag Football, Basketball, Softball, Golf and Volleyball Tournaments, an Easter Egg Hunt, Youth Track Meets, Fishing Seminars and a variety of other special events throughout the year. Track and Field for youth ages 10-18. The department also offers a variety of recreational and general interest classes, which are taught by qualified instructors offered for youth as well as adults. The division also acts as a liaison between the City and the various Little League Associations, peewee Football, the Harlingen Tennis Association, the Harlingen Aquatics Team, and Roller Hockey. |

WALK-IN: Harlingen Parks & Recreation office
is located at 900 Fair Park Blvd. REGISTRATION DETAILS: Please register for all classes, leagues, and special events through the Parks and Recreation Department unless otherwise indicated. Please attend the programs you have registered for unless otherwise notified. No registrations are taken over the phone or without full payment. We only accept cash or checks. Please make checks payable to the City of Harlingen. CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: Please keep in mind when you sign up for a class, that we depend on your enrollment for a successful class. Plan your schedule carefully. If a class is cancelled by the city, you will receive a full refund. No refund will be given if you cancel after the first class session in which you are registered. There will be a $5.00 service charge for all cancellations made prior to the first class session. |
