MAINTENANCE WORKER I
Street
Hiring Rate: $7.5517 - $7.6272/hr

 

JOB SUMMARY:
Cleans drain inlets and street gutters; patches holes in pavement, picks up trash debris and brush; loads debris onto trucks. Works on street construction with maintenance crew doing general laboring tasks such as breaking pavement, pouring and shoveling asphalt and concrete; digs out holes with manual and automatic digging tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:
*  Experience in general laboring work with some experience in the operation of assigned equipment preferred.
*  Sufficient education to be able to read and write.
*  Possession of Class “B” CDL issued by the State of Texas.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Heavy physical stress on back. Includes people who work outside, construction workers, etc. Involves frequent heavy lifting of over 50 pounds often combined with bending or twisting. Usually work on irregular surfaces.
