AQUATIC STAFF LEVEL I (TEMPORARY SUMMER)
Recreation

Pay Range:  $7.00/hr

JOB SUMMARY:
Lifeguard public swimming sessions. Rescue and emergency are of accident victims. Enforces safety policies, and maintaining pool facilities. Assists in clean up and maintenance of pool area. Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms and pool facilities daily. Attend all scheduled in-service training; perform other appropriate duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 16 years of age.
First time as lifeguard for the City of Harlingen requires a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate.
Other specialized job requirements include good public relations and able to communicate with public,
Good physical condition and good uncorrected vision and normal hearing.
Excellent swimming skills and able to pass swimming test related to facility and responsibility.

BENEFITS:
The City covers all seasonal part-time employees under its workman’s compensation program.
