LABORER (PART-TIME)
Golf Course
Hiring Rate: $5.15/hr
JOB SUMMARY:
This part-time position cleans and paints equipment, mows lawns, picks up trash,
and trims bushes and trees. Other duties may include operation of tractors and
lawnmowers. Physical strength and endurance are required to perform manual labor
for extended periods of time, possibly in adverse weather and working
conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Some knowledge of the operation of mowers. Ability to acquire some skills in the
use of standard equipment and hand tools used in the area of assignment. Ability
to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods as required by work
assignments. Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Moderate physical activity such as people who work indoors and in warehouse type
jobs. On feet most of the time. Involves bending stooping, squatting, twisting,
reaching, working on irregular surfaces and occasionally lifting objects
weighing 25 to 50 pounds.
BENEFITS:
The City covers its part-time employees under Workman’s Compensation
program.
