MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR
Downtown Improvement District
Pay Range: 8.4657/hr

JOB SUMMARY:
This position involves maintenance of the Downtown office and areas within the Downtown District, including painting, trimming, and picking up litter on city streets, and janitorial services within the office. Regularly visits businesses in the district and distributes information to property owners, business owners, employees, and residents. Position involves communicating verbally and in writing with businesspeople and personnel in various City offices and providing information and assistance of the general public on a daily basis. Incumbent also assists with special events on weekends, in the evenings and on holidays, and enforcement of the Downtown District parking program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English required; ability to also communicate in Spanish preferred
Ability to understand and interpret City ordinances.
Possession of valid Texas Driver’s license.
●  Ability to acquire some skill in the use of standard equipment and hand tools used in area of assignment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 Job entails moderate physical activity, involving a great deal of time outside. Requires a lot of walking and bending. Frequently involves lifting or moving of equipment up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting of over 50 pounds. Position will require successful completion of Functional Assessment test.
