A Municipal Auditorium Advisory Board of directors to set policy, oversee and coordinate implementation of programs, facilities, services and marketing; providing for publication and ordaining other related matters.

 

Membership:

 · Harlingen Municipal Auditorium Complex Advisory Board of Directors is created with six citizens of the city who
   shall be appointed by the Mayor and Commissioners of the city, with the Mayor and each Commissioner having
   one appointment, and such six members shall serve a concurrent term with the remaining term of the appointing
   Mayor or Commissioner.

 ·  All members of the Advisory Board shall be at least 18 years of age and citizens of the city.

 ·  The Harlingen Municipal Auditorium Complex Advisory Board of Directors shall choose from among its membership
    a Chairman who shall not vote except when necessary to break a tie; the Board shall establish such by-laws, rules,
    regulations, and/or policy it deems necessary to properly govern its meetings. 

·   The Mayor and City Commission shall constitute ex-officio members of the Harlingen Municipal Auditorium Complex
    Advisory Board of Directors and shall be given notice of all meetings and copies of the minutes of the Board meetings.

 ·  Vacancies on the Board because of removal for cause, forfeiture, ill health, or resignation shall be filled by
    appointment by the Mayor or Commissioner who appointed the vacating member and shall serve the remainder of the term.

·  Staff support for the Advisory Board shall be provided by the Public Services Director.
