RE: Annexation Plan - Service Inventory Requirements

Dear Sir:

This letter is to inform you that the City of Harlingen adopted a three year annexation plan on December 15, 1999. A map of the proposed annexation area is attached. This property would be scheduled for annexation between December 15, 2002 and January 15, 2003. New state law requires that the City compile a comprehensive inventory of services and facilities provided by public and private entities in each area proposed for annexation. You are required to respond to this request within 90 days of the date of this letter. A copy of Chapter 43.053 of the Texas Local Government Code which specifies what information is to be provided is enclosed for your use. Once we receive all the requested information we will compile it within 60 days and it will be available for public inspection. (Estimated completion time July 2000)

The next action will be to hold two public hearings within 90 days of the inventory compilation above (estimated time frame September - October 2000). You will not be individually notified of these hearings. They will be advertised in the Valley Morning Star in the classified ad section 10-20 days before each hearing and posted on the Harlingen webpage at www.ci.harlingen.tx.us/planning. The following paved roads are within the area of annexation:
Breckham Road, Crockett Road, Crockett Court, Halpin Road, Orange Road, Sago Road & Stuart Place Road.

The following caliche and dirt roads are within the area of annexation:
Beckham Road, Dennis Road, Hick Hill Road, & Tame Lane.

Harlingen Community Emergency Care Foundation, Inc.:

This entity will have sufficient resources to serve the area once it is annexed into the Corporate Limits of the City of Harlingen.

This entity has a (2") two-inch steel (60) sixty PSIG gas line in the East ROW of Stuart Place Road between Business 83 and U.S. 83.  This line is in good physical condition.
