The Community Development Advisory Board is hereby empowered by Article II to hold and conduct public meetings from time to time, to conduct meetings as frequently as necessary to assist in applications to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for funding; to request technical assistance from members of the City staff; to report directly to the Mayor and City Commissioners of the City of Harlingen with recommendations for community development. 

 

Membership:

 The Community Development Advisory Board shall be composed of 15 adult residents of the city and qualified voters of the state, three members from each quadrant and three at-large members.  The three at-large members must be residents of Census Tracts 102.1, 105, 106.01, 107, 109, 110, 111, 112 or 118.02 and no more than one at-large member may come from any of these tracts.  The Board shall be appointed by Article III, the Mayor and Commissioners
