Paramount among the goals of the City of Harlingen’s Arts and Entertainment (A&E) division is to play an active role in our young people’s education. Creating, performing and responding to works of art builds creativity, self-confidence and critical thinking skills – qualities central to success in school, work and life.
Since 2001, A&E’ s Arts In Education Partnerships have grown from a relationship with one lone bank into a group of concerned businesses and individuals who share in one simple belief: Art changes lives.
Through our Arts In Education Partnerships we encourage local business and community leaders to purchase blocks of 20 tickets for a particular show at a discounted rate. We then distribute them through The Boys and Girls Club, HCISD and community-based youth groups.
We encourage you to join community leaders such as Valley Baptist Health Systems, Texas State Bank, Boggus Ford of Harlingen and others in helping to provide educational and life enriching experiences for our Valley's young people.
Please consider joining us in this exciting and edifying program, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call at (956) 216-5990
